Worship is at the heart of the life of our church and you are welcome to join us at any of our services. At St Peter’s, our 8.00am service is a said Holy Communion, a quiet service using traditional language. Parish Communion is at 9.30am at which we have hymns and songs led by the organ and robed choir. At 11.00am during term time there is an informal service with a music group. The children’s work happens alongside this service. At 4.00pm on the fourth Sunday of each month there is traditional Choral Evensong.
Coffee is served after the Sunday 9.30am and Wednesday services. Everyone is invited to stay a little longer to chat and meet people, perhaps make new friends.
At the Abbey there are traditional services, using the Book of Common Prayer liturgies established in the Church of England in 1662. These are held twice a month, on the second and fourth Sundays, at 11.30am.
